TEACHING PARENT (Weekend Position Only)
Dependable individuals needed for making a difference in the lives of abused & neglected teens that need strong, positive role models to foster appropriate behaviors. Position is daily supervision of residents, and activities to ensure a safe and therapeutic residential environment. Additional duties will be transportation to school or appointments, guidance in daily living skills, maintaining structure with the STAR teaching model, and crises intervention as required. The hours will vary as well as departments.
Duties-Supervision of residents’ social, educational, and behavioral activities. Responsible for the completion of required paperwork. Must have the skills, patience, and understanding to work with and around special needs youth. Good interpersonal skills, including composure under stress and sensitivity to the needs of others. Ability to represent the Home in a professional manner. Provide a positive role model by demonstrating commitment, punctuality, effective time management, and good communication skills. Will be expected to work in any department need.
Qualifications-High School degree/GED required, college degree preferred. Human Services coursework or degree preferred. There are weekend, evening and night shift hours available. Must be at least 21 years old to meet licensing requirement. Must have valid Kansas Driver’s license and good driving record.
LIFE SKILLS COACH (3rd shift Position Only)

Must be at least 25 years old to meet licensing requirements. Must have valid Kansas Driver's License and good driving record.
FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
Responsible for client supervision, crisis counseling and overall support for program participants. Works in conjunction with Case Managers and Life Skills Coaches to support treatment plans and goals. Hours will be Thursday – Sunday 6pm – 2a.
Duties- The Family Support Worker is responsible for maintaining order in the young parents’ towers. The Family Support Worker is responsible for client supervision, crisis counseling, and extra overall support. The Family Support Worker is a teacher, role model, advocate, nurturer, and listener. Participates in Reflective Supervision. Provides intermittent child care in the absence of the young mothers. Creates a culture of caring for young mothers. Establishes appropriate boundaries with young mothers and their children while fostering a culture of caring.
Qualifications-Degree Preferred; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have valid Kansas Driver’s License with good driving record. Must be at least 25 years old to meet licensing requirement.
